Grand Canyon (North Rim), Arizona, USA
Instead of going to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon we chose to visit the North Rim this time. We arrived in the afternoon and after checking into our cabin we went to the restaurant that is built on the cliffs. The time we had left before dinner we spent by walking near the cliffs around the restaurant. Dinner with a view over the Grand Canyon was simply spectacular.
After dinner we walked all the way to Bright Angel Point to witness the sunset. Exciting path to walk on and awesome views all the way. Sunset was better than we could have hoped for.
The morning after we drove towards Imperial Point. A long way up and a totally different but just as an exciting view over the Grand Canyon.

The second half of the afternoon we arrived at our North Rim cabin in Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA. Before heading for Bright Angel Point we booked an early dinner and had some spectacular views from the restaurant.

More rain on the way while spending time in Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA. Even though we did not have any rain so far, conditions certainly looked grim for us to witness a decent sunset. We did love the dramatic views those dark clouds brought.

A narrow passage
A narrow passage on the trail to Bright Angel Point in Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA. With sheer cliffs on either side passing this part of the trail is not for the faint of heart. It does provide a railing though which was comforting.

Words cannot express the greatness we experienced at Bright Angel Point in Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA. We had some worries when we arrived here with dark clouds and heavy rain showers hovering over the canyon. Luckily they all disppeared nicely.

Lovely to see how the canyon lights up at Bright Angel Point in Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA. Only the upper parts of the rocks are still highlighted. Luckily the temperature was great as it can turn cold really fast.

We got up bright and early to drive to Point Imperial in Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA. It's a pretty long drive to get there, but definitely worth it to catch some early morning sun.
