Perth, Western Australia (2017)

We found our first trip together to Perth, Western Australia in 2016 so succesful that we decided to make it an annual event to escape winter in the Netherlands. At the end of October 2017 we left for roughly six weeks to basically live in the city of Perth. Within that period we did do a short road trip to the South-West part of the state and experienced some of the most beautiful scenery we even encountered, like Lucky Beach in Cape Le Grand National Park.

All photo's can be purchased on various materials through my shop on artheroes.com.

Jetty remnants

Checking out the waters around the jetty remnants at Hamelin Bay in Western Australia. According to what we read this is where there's a huge chance of seeing stingrays coming very close to shore. Unfortunately we were either too late or too early but no stingrays to be seen. Well, there's always the next time.

Let's show them guys!

We had an amazing time on a speedboat adventure on Shoalwater Bay, Western Australia. Once we were off the skipper was on the lookout for dolphins the whole time. We were lucky as he spotted a group of nine dolphins that were in the mood for some fun. Making huge waves by circling the boat the dolphins followed and played around the waves. Let's show them guys!

Two jumpers

These are just two jumpers out of the group of nine dolphins that were following the speedboat we were on in Shoalwater Bay, Western Australia. We really enjoyed their shenanigans.

Rocky shore

Admiring the rocky shore while circling around Bird Island in Shoalwater Bay, Western Australia. One of the last stops on the cruise was to Aladdin’s Cave where we saw fossilised remnants of ancient tuart forests. That's a lot of pelicans

Slowly approaching Penguin Island in Shoalwater Bay, Western Australia. We knew that the island was host to many birds, but that's a lot of pelicans.

No fighting guys!

Two curious little penguins

While all tourists stayed near the jetty we walked all the way over to the other end of Penguin Island in Shoalwater Bay, Western Australia. Imagine our surprise when we walked over to a small stretch of beach and found these two curious little penguins hiding in their cave.
