Valencia, Spain (2018)

In April of 2018 me and my wife went on a short city trip to Valencia, Spain. We stayed in the historic city centre and as such were able to see a lot of the city sights on foot. On two separate days we use the Hop-on-Hop-off bus to see the parts outside of the city centre.

All photo's can be purchased on various materials through my shop on artheroes.com.

Below are all the photos related to this travel experience including the relevant link to the shop.

Scooters are really popular

Scooters and motorcycles are a very popular way of transport in Spain. Here at Plaça de l'Ajuntament we found a whole bunch of them nicely parked in a row.

Fuente de la Plaza del Ayuntamiento

It was a lovely day for a city walk in Valencia, Spain. We loved the huge fountain at the Plaça de l'Ajuntament.

Where they fight the bulls

Bull fighting is still huge in Spain. While walking in Valencia we passed Plaza de Toros, the local bullfighting arena. I do not like what it stands for but it sure is a beautiful building.

Stained glass dome

While walking around in the old city centre of Valencia, Spain we went inside the old post office. We loved the stained glass dome.

Torres de Serranos

On this beautiful day we were on the Hop-on-Hop-off bus and drove past Torres de Serranos. It really looked like a good place to visit so we did that two days later.

Lines and curves

We were amazed by the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain. All of the buildings there are truly beautiful and we loved the lines and curves in combination with the water and flowers.

Which way to go?

The city of Valencia, Spain attracts a lot of tourists and it is not always clear which way to go. These two young women were lost and checking their phones to see if they were on the right track.

Looking over the city

Visiting Torres de Serranos in the city of Valencia, Spain. On top of this historic building the city can be viewed in every direction.

Front view

Torres de Serranos is one of the twelve gates that formed part of the ancient city wall, the Christian Wall (Muralla cristiana), of the city of Valencia, Spain. It's really well preserved and can be visited which is what we did.

Going up the stairs

In Valencia, Spain we decided to visit Torres de Quart. To get inside we had to climb these stairs, but the building is certainly worth it.
