To escape winter in the Netherlands, my wife and I travelled to Perth, Western Australia, our most favourite city in the world. In between two stays we did a road trip to Karijini National Park in the North. In total we were to stay for ten weeks but when the pandemic started we had to cut our trip short.

Rottnest Island, Western Australia has so many secluded beaches. Here we were at Mary Cove trying to figure out how we could get to that beach. It wasn't easy but very rewarding once there.

The Matagarup Bridge is a suspension pedestrian bridge crossing over the Swan River in Perth, Western Australia. "Matagarup" is the Nyungar name for the whole area. It is truly a design marvel.
We always visit Heirisson Island where we are in Perth, Western Australia. It is a perfect little island in ther Swan River and it has a few families of free roaming kangaroos.
